Restore to Current Codes: SOOTY’S restores masonry fireplaces to current fireplace codes and standards as required by the County building and safety department. We will not inadequately patch or “make it work”, but restore it properly so that you can enjoy your fireplace with peace of mind.

Historic Restoration: SOOTY’S restores masonry fireplaces built with traditional lime mortar.  Modern mortar over traditional mortar is not compatible and will accelerate the deterioration of the structural traditional mortar. Samples of the mortar can be taken and tested to determine if the mortar is traditional.
